Sundews are found throughout the world. These unique carnivorous
plants attract their victims with a glistening morsel of
nectar, or so the insect thinks! Once the insect gets stuck,
the
tendrils will close around the victim to sting and release
an enzyme
to start the digestion process. These beautiful carnivorous
plants come in a variety of shapes, colors and
sizes. For growing instructions

D. nidiformis is another tropical African
sundew. This plant is indigenous to Zambia. Summer Temps
should range from 65 - 80 F and the humidity should remain
above 50%, 65 - 75% is best. If D. Nidiformis has dew
droplets covering leaf pads then the humidity and light
levels are just right. D. Nidiformis can take
bright light but try to avoid the direct afternoon sun
and watch the heat levels. If the soil becomes
too dry for too long D. Nidiformis will slip into dormancy.
