Pinguicula gigantea is known for broad carnivorous leaves with sticky glands on both surfaces. Given space and suitable care, it can become one of the larger Mexican butterworts. Choose a small potted plant or a small unpotted plant.
Care
- Light: Bright indirect light or filtered sun.
- Water: Keep lightly moist during active growth and reduce water when a tighter succulent rosette forms.
- Soil: Use an airy, mineral-rich Mexican butterwort mix.
- Humidity: Moderate humidity with gentle air movement.
- Temperature: Best at about 60–85°F.
- Dormancy: Does not need cold dormancy, but seasonal growth form may change.
Please note: Plants are living products, so color, leaf count, and exact form will vary with season and growing conditions.
